Kaelum's shower

We had a lovely shower at work to welcome Kaelum. Potluck appies - always my favorite. And Shirley brought a terrific cake. Come to think of it, there were 3 cakes! No wonder we were smiling! Posted by Picasa

a great shot of Mom and Jimmy

I'm sure that is all the red that they were wearing - not the glow from the wine they were drinking! Posted by Picasa

The other side of the table

This is Mom and Jimmy and Rick, Lorraine's brother. Posted by Picasa

Rod & Pam

Lorraine is house-sitting for an couple who have emigrated from England and their house shows their roots, looking rather British. We had a lovely dinner, as you can tell! Posted by Picasa

Our Thanksgiving Dinner

Here's the cook and Mom and Jimmy. Kim was sick. What a feast we had! Posted by Picasa

Carol's retirement party

Carol finally packed it in after slaving away for many years. She will slave in a different location because she is such a hard worker that she can't just do nothing! We had a lovely dinner at the Prestige. Posted by Picasa

Towards the light

This way is towards where the water will enter the tunnel. We felt very small! Posted by Picasa

Inside the tunnel

This is inside the water tunnel at the dam. They will be blasting out a 10 foot wall of rock once the generator is in place but we were able to see what the inside looks like. It was about 300 feet down an adit and it was damp. Posted by Picasa

the gang

We toured the Brilliant Dam expansion project. They are adding another generator to increase the power production and have been working since 2003. The project is nearing completion and the production company was delighted to show everyone how things are going. They took us in schoolbuses into the tunnels they have created and had guides present to give information and answer any questions. Posted by Picasa
